Makita 4390D Cordless Reciprocating Saw Review
The Makita 4390D Cordless Reciprocating Saw offered by Makita Power Tools is a remarkably light weight saw that is rugged enough to withstand just about any job. The light weight construction (3.1 pounds with battery) is easy to handle and it has a large number of applications that makes it one of the most utilized tools in my workshop.
The 4390D is only 13-1/2 inches long and a 9/16th stroke length that produces a 2,700 strokes per minute that smoothly cuts through steel, wood, and plastics (PVC). Its automatic lock-off switch provides for less material marking and prevents accidental starts. Most anti-locking devices tend to make working in a rhythm difficult at times. Much to my surprise I have found that the safety features on the Makita 4390 do not get into the way of working. The saw comes with one 9.6 volt battery and charger along with a cutting blade and hex wrench.
After having extensively used my Makita 4390D I have yet to have had a single problem with the saw. It has attacked every job that I have thrown its way with ease. As with all my Makita power tools I expect a long life and a high resistance to abuse.
The only down sides that I have seen are that the blades are a bit flimsy and when I have a particularly tough job to do I need carry an extra battery with me. Its normal battery life is up to standard and holds a good charge.
I recommend the Makita 4390D Cordless Reciprocating Saw because of its durability and easy operations. In fact, I keep one with me at all times regardless of whatever job I may be handling. Why not check out the eBay deals below and buy one for your tool box today!
