Bosch 1644 Cordless Reciprocating Saw Review
The Bosch 1644 cordless reciprocating saw is powered by an 18 volt NiMH battery. The saw works at 2300 strokes per minute which ranks it with many corded reciprocating saws in raw cutting speed.
With an exclusive dual stroke cutting action the stroke length can be switched from 3/4 inch for precision plunge cuts to 1-1/4 inch for faster cuts. Pressing a button allows the tilt-back foot assembly to move forward or back to one of three positions, which adds to a versatile depth-of-cut control and extends the blade life by making it easier to use different sections of teeth.
In addition, the cordless reciprocating saw features the Bosch tool-free blade-change system, which makes blade changes easy even with gloves on. This saves time. Other features include a soft-grip handle and rubber boot that absorbs vibration.
